Hey, everybody! It’s time to celebrate my third blogoversary (a little late – technically, it was on the 31st) and my birthday (a little early – it’s on the 11th). It’s hard to believe another year has gone by – in some ways I feel like it’s flown, and in other ways blogging has become so much a part of my life that I feel like I’ve been doing it forever!!
Scroll down for a picture of my blog before the redesign!
Here are just a few stats about my three years of blogging:
I’ve written over 935 posts (this doesn’t include old spotlight posts, which I deleted unless they had something unique and interesting to offer like an exclusive author top ten list). These have included:
- 77 Discussions
- 175 Giveaways (again, this doesn’t include old spotlight giveaways that were deleted – there were lots of those, especially in my early months of blogging)
- 446 Reviews
I’ve gotten over 10,000 comments. (This number is actually really hard to get right because it includes my replies, but doesn’t include a good portion of my comments that were made on my blog before I switched to WordPress because my comments didn’t move over properly when I made the switch. Still, I think I can safely say, we’ve had lots of good conversations around here!)
I’ve been to nine book events/author signings. I’m not sure which was my favorite – BEA 2014 or RT 2015.
I started part-time freelance editing and proofreading. I’ve now edited 19 books (and one of my authors, Allie Juliette Mousseau, became a USA Today bestseller!) and done 9 proofreads.
Thanks to the AMAZING artistic talents of Tabitha @Pabkins, I did a redesign of my site (which I’m thrilled with)! Want another glimpse of the old site? Lisa over at Lost in Lit, introduced me to The Wayback Machine, which takes a snapshot of your site at different times throughout the years. So very cool! For those of you who haven’t been around for long (or who just miss my pretty birdie), here’s what my site used to look like:

I’d say it’s been a pretty amazing three years!!
